Arts and culture is an important part of Liverpool Hospital. It is our belief that arts and creativity move minds, bodies and spirits towards sustaining healthy lives.
As part of the redevelopment, the arts and culture strategy will connect and involve the community. Heritage, storytelling, music, dance and visual arts have a valuable impact in the delivery of healthcare services.
The South Western Sydney Health and Arts Strategic Plan 2018-23 was developed by the South Western Sydney Local Health District, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and Liverpool City Council.

Help shape the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct project!
The arts will play an important role in the development of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP), with a strong focus on the proven link between the arts and healthy minds and bodies.
To help shape the development of an Arts and Culture Strategy for the project, we’re seeking the input of our hospital community – from staff and students to patients, families and visitors – to better understand what matters to you.
Our arts and culture program will aim to create a hospital environment that aids recovery and provides welcoming, safe and connected spaces for all who visit.
Community participation in the process is essential to ensuring that our activities reflect your aspirations.
Please take the time to share your thoughts and visions for the future by completing our short survey by 12 August 2020.
