Colourful addition to site
COLOURFUL ADDITION TO SITE
The striking artwork features on construction hoarding surrounding the car park site
Commencement of works to construct our new multi-storey car park has seen the installation of fencing around the perimeter of the building site.
With construction set to continue until early 2022, Health Infrastructure and builders ADCO have embraced the opportunity to incorporate the work of contemporary Aboriginal artist
Danielle Mate Sullivan
into the site’s hoarding design.
The artwork celebrates the Georges River, which features strongly across both Gandangarra and Dharawal lands and has been a source of food and water for thousands of years.
The river was also a significant meeting place for Aboriginal people, as well as a place for trade.
The aerial perspective depicts the waters of the river, along with meeting places and those gathering at them – reflecting both past and present.
